Avocados are high in valuable, health-promoting fats. For a typical avocado:

High avocado intake has been shown to have a beneficial effect on blood serum cholesterol levels.

AVOCADO SALAT

we will need

– 2 avocados
– 2 tomatoes or 8-9 cherry tomatoes (usually they are more tasty)
– 1-2 pieces of garlic if you want u put more or less depends of how u prefer the taste of garlic.or not at all.
– olive oil (2 soup spoons)
– juice of half lemon
– pepper, salt, tea spoon of oregan
– 1/4 
some red peper if u want or tabasco

SO…lets cook!!

…cut the avocados at the middle and then use the skin pressing it with your hands
melting it into a ball.

.

use a fork if needed to melt them more

then..cut the tomatoes in small square pieces

…smash the garlic ( the garlic must be really smashed and not choped..you can use an electronic blender also)

so now ye just have to mix all the ingredients!!!
place the tomatoes into the avocado,the garlic, the oi,l pepper, salt and oregan and lemon
and its ready!!
You can serve it with fresh persil and roasted toast bread or fin crisps or nachos

TIP : avocado stays fresh longer if we store it with the seed.!so put the seed at the middle it will really help for not getting into this dark colour it usually gets when we store it.

 Soft and fluffy chocolate cake

Are you bored of normal chokolate cakes ??? They are  a lot of recipies for baking a cake..but after all these years of trying to make the perfect chokolate cake (sometimes people call it pie) i resulted into this recipie..You need more time and more try but it really worth it!!!
If you follow every step i say you wil make the best cake you ever baked!!!

3 cups of flour (with 1 packet of baking powder)
3 cups of sugar(its sound a lot but u needed cause u will put cacao)
250 gr margarine
3 eggs
1 cup milk
half packet of cacao
vanilla (or skratch skin of hald orange)

(sugar,honey,water,skin of lemon,cinammon,rum)=sirop

if u want to put chocolate on top (which i strongly recomend)

1 bar (250gr) of dark chokolate
50 gr of butter
half packet fraische creme
some cacao

you melt the butter in a pan till its compltely liquid..be carefull
use small fire cause it has not to be cooked just to melt!!dont let it boil..it boils so fast!
you put the butter with the sugar and you use the mixer to blend them.
as more white its goes the colour as more good it is
u need 10min to blend it.
then u devide the eggs and u make a mareg with the white of the eggs(put a little sugar it helps) and then do the orange of the eggs separately
then add the mareg slowly slowly to the butsugar and then the orange
(making a mareg helps the cake to be very fluffy and soft)
after u put the vannila or the orange
and then the milk
then the cacao
and then the flour
if ur mix goes really liquid add more flour
if ur mix goes really sticky add more milk

its really good to use baking paper to the pan u will put in the oven

u put in for 20 minutes..more or less
not a lot of time cause it will really dry

DONT OPEN THE OVEN TO CHECK

open it only if u are sure that its ready
20 min is a very good time so its well baked
but make ur oven hot before u put the cake in

as its cooking u are preparing your sirop
all together with some water boiled

then when the cake is out u make a rain with ur hands to the cake with the sirop!!! 3/4 of a cup is a really good analogy..

then if u make the top chokolate
put them all together in a pan let them melt and u are ready

as its hot put it in the cake

tip: chokolate is always better if u put a little bit of pepper 😉

tip2:feel love for ur the things u make to bake..they need it!!!
u can even talk to them!!!

this is a recipie made out of colours.

the green of the zuchini with the orange of the carrot look so nice together!

PASTA WITH CARROTS AND ZUCHINIS


2 carrots
1 zuchini
onions
1 creme fraische
cheese (that melts..gouda for example)
pasta (penne, farfale, etc..)
pepper
salt
some curry

SIMPLE STUFF
we clean and cut our vegetables

its really importants when we cut our vegetables cut them at the same size..the shape doesnt matter but the size does ..so they will be cooked at the same time..

we dont want a result of really mellting zuchinis and hard carrots!!
put some oil in the pan
first the onion
then carrots after  3min the zuchini
(carrots need more time to be cooked than the zuchinis)
pepper, salt , and curry

we have boiled our pasta

and then we put them all together in the oven
with the creme and the cheese ofcourse!
if u want you cant just put the creme in your pan while cooking and make a sause
and forget the oven

CHESTNUT MARMELADE



chestnut marmelade is a really really yummy marmelade..now its the season of chestnuts!!so its a very nice opportunity to store them..
This marmelade is really nice to put it in apple pies or in chokolate cakes or in what u have in mind!!!
They give a special rich taste! 
And of course its really nice and energetic for your morning bread!! 


 

chestnut marmelade

for 2 vases you will need :

1kg chestnuts                                                             
800gr sugar
vanilla (fresh would be a perfection)
2 drops of rum!

– boil the chestnuts for about 15 minutes..
open one to see if the are ready..if they taste like u could eat them then they are ready!
-clean them really carefully so you will not lose a big amount of them
-put the cleaned chestnuts in the blender (mixer) with some water and make a cream!!
you can keep some chopped so you will have some in the marmelade.
-put the cream with sugar to a pan and boil to low fire..
when its looks like its ready but you think that it has more water that u wanted to have so then its the right time to take it out of fire..
at this moment put the vanilla and the rum..
after 5 minutes remove the vanilla..
store in clean vases…
be carefull!!
DO NOT CLOSE THE VASES WHEN THA MARMELADE ITS HOT

Που εχει γινει η αιτια…

Η αιτια να μαθω τι σημαινει ρυζοκροκετα.

Η πρωτη μου συναντηση με τις ρυζοκροκετες ηταν μια μερα που το στομαχι μου , μου φωναζε απελπισμενα
-ΔΕ ΜΕ ΝΟΙΑΖΕΙ ΤΙ ΘΑ ΚΑΝΕΙΣ.Αλλα εγω πειναω!Γεμισε με! 
Και καπου εκει λοιπον ξεχασμενες μεσα σε ενα ντουλαπι βρεθηκαν κατι ρυζοκροκετες να σηκωνουν το χερι!!
Ναι μη νομιζετε οτι τα φαγητα στεναχοριουνται η πονανε οταν τα τρωμε..ισα ισα χαιρονται..αλλα γιαυτο θα σας πω μια αλλη φορα..ειναι μια πολυ ωραια ιστορια που μου ειχε πει καποτε ενα μουχλιασμενο μηλο.
Ετσι λοιπον και γω κατι επρεπε να κανω απλωνα τη χερουκλα μου, τεντωνω τα πελματα μου γιατι ξερετε ηταν απο αυτα τα ραφια τα εντελως ξεχασμενα , αυτα που ειναι ψηλα.
Και τρωω την πρωτη μου ρυζοκροκετα.
Αηδιααααααααααα…μαμαλοοοοοο που λεμε κ στο χωριο μου…σα να τρως σφουγγαρι..
σα να το τρως επειδη σε βαλε η μαμα σου να το φας, που δε σ’αρεσει που δε σ’αρεσει αλλα επειδη σε αναγκασανε ειναι ακομα χειροτερο αποτι αν ηταν δικη σου επιλογη..
Το στομαχι μου ομως κανενα παραπονο.Μια χαρα ενιωσε.
Αυτη λοιπον ηταν η πρωτη μου γνωριμια.
Μετα ολες οι υπολοιπες, ηταν μια απο τα ιδια.Αηδια.
Ηθελα με καπιοι τροπο να ικανοποιησω την ακατανικητη επιθυμια μου να τρωω ψωμι, γιατι σα κοριτσι που ειμαι οπως μας ελεγε κ η δασκαλα μας στο μπαλετο οταν πηγενα β’ δημοτικου το ψωμι και η πατατα οταν τα τρως καθονται στον πωπω και στα μπουτακια..γιατι αλλωστε τα λενε και ψωμακια?
 Ναι ναι στη β’ δημοτικου…
Μα βεβαια ολα τα υγειινα φαγητα αηδια ειναι σκεφτομουνα ηλιθιοδως φυσικα αξιζει να παραδεχτω.
Οποτε η ρυζοκροκετες – ψωμι 5-0

Και εκει περνει τη θεση της στην ιστορια η φιλη μου η Μαρια.
Που εχει κ γενεθλια σημερα!!Χρονια πολλα!

Θα πηγαιναμε καπου μακρια διακοπες..και επρεπε να παρουμε μαζι μας εξυπνα φαγητα.
Παμε στην υπεραγορα ελληνιστι για ψωνια.Σουπερ Μαρκετ.
Μεσα στις κονσερβες τονου, τη παστα ελιας, τη μερεντα, το ταχινι ,το μελι, τα κρητικα παξιμαδια,τις λαστιες ντοματες , τα αποξηραμενα μανιταρια, τις φακες, τη φαβα και τα κωλοχαρτα μου λεει η Μαρια θελω να παρουμε κ ρυζοκροκετες..μπλιααααχ λεω εγω…οχι οχι θελω ειναι τελειες οτι πρεπει για πρωινο με μελι και ταχινι ..λεω αππαππαα πως μπορει φεγγαρακι μου κ τα τρωει τουτα τα πραγματα?

Παμε σπιτι..κοιμομαστε..ξυπναμε..
Και τρωμε πρωινο.Ανοιγει τις ρυζοκροκετες..τις αλοιφει με μελι και ταχινι..
μου λεει δοκιμασε…
ΠΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ….
το στομαχι μου με ερωτευτηκε!
Τελειο!Θεικο!
Τραγανο και γευστικοτατο!!
Τελικα τοσο καιρο που ετρωγα , ετρωγα μπαγιατικες..γιατι μπαγιατευουν μεσα σε μια μερα!!
Και μου μαθε και το θεικο κολπο
για να μην μαμαλιαζουν παντα την πανω πανω δε τη τρως..την κανεις καπακι..την αφηνεις εκει για να προφυλασει τις αλλες..
την θυσιαζεις στο βωμο της απολαυστικης φρεσκαδας…
Πρεπει να τη φας μετα και αυτη ομως..ειπαμε δεν αρεσει στα φαγητα να μη τα τρωνε..

many times i smell a cake..but i feel nothing..
but when tha cake is baking has orange inside and instead butter olive oil then i can only feel ..i can only go back in time..
i am in the kitchen of my nona ,my grand mother, shes making a cake, as usual
sugar , eggs, milk, orange, flour , and some cacao.. but no butter…
why nona u put olive oil??
cause its healthier…
and the taste…
and the smell while it was baking gave me the luck that everytime i smell this combination
i can go back at that kitchen…
im young again…
everything in the kitchen is so high…i have to stretch my feet to take the spoon..i have to hug the bawl to put the mixture in the pan..
and my fingers inside it…happiness!!!

APPLE PIE AND LOVE

APPLE PIE

for the base:
3/4 cup margarine
500 gr flour
baking powder
1/5 teaspoon sugar
1/5 teasp salt
1 red of the egg
rum or koniak

for the filling :
6 apples
nuts
cinammon
sugar

so yes we have to make a dough!!
but dont be afraid!its really easy!!
u just have to believe in it!its the most important!

base
u melt the butter in a pan
be carefull melt it dont boil it..
u put in a bowl the flour with the baking powder the slat and the sugar and u mix with a spoon
u add the butter slowly slowly at teh center and then u mix ..
u put it in a baking pan as a tart…u open small holes with the fork in all the surface..
u bake for 15-20 minutes

for the filling u put the apple s in pieces in a pan with water sugar cinammon and u make a soft marmelade
10 minutes its a good time for boiling it
the amount of the water should be as much to cover the mixture 🙂

u let it for a while not to be hot and then u put it at the base

you can serve it with warm poutigue or ice cream

Tasty oat dessert!!
Ok i know you all know that oat is healthy etc.etc and i also know that people who love to eat really tasty-full calorie desserts they are not excacly funs of oat.
I have to admit that me myself i wasnt also a big fun of oat..to tell you teh truth i really hated it..it was of teh things taht my mother was eating and i couldnt understand the reason..
cause NO…healthy its not a reason to eat food for the mind of a kid!!

But then when you become a woman and you have to take care of your body and you realize that bread cannot be anymore part of your life…(at list the way it was..)you start to find some solutions…
eh!one of them is oat…
If i dont cook it with milk i really love it!!
I just boil some water then add it to my bowl with oat some banana slices or other fruits, honey, and some tahini maybe…and i have a full healthy breakfast..with calories that my body can digest normally..

Sometimes i like it with yoghurt…

so  as i was preparing my homemade strawberry marmelade this came to my mind and i tried it and was really yummy…
( i am sure that it exists as a recipie but i will write down mine)


IF YOU LIKE CHEESECAKE YOU WILL LOVE THIS DESSERT

we need

for 4 people

one cup of oat
1/3 of cup sugar (i prefer brown)
2 cups yoghurt
half packet of vanilla puding (this u mix the powder with milk and you create milk)
marmelade or fruits

tips:
you can add some nuts at the oat..
you can arrange the quantity of yoghurt and puding as you like
its perfect with your favourite marmelade but you can always put fruits for less sugar result 😉

put the sugar in a pan and put the fire really low
when it start to melt put the oat and remove it from the fire immediatly and mix fast the ingredients.
(if you dont you will have a burned caramelized result..some like it some dont)

really fast put it as a base for your dessert
you can use 4 glasses or your regural plate for making this kind of desserts

make the puding and then mix it really good with the yoghurt
then put it at the top of the oat base
then add the marmelade or the fruits and you are ready!!
wait for a bit so it will be cold and fresh and then serv it

tip: if you put more yoghurt than piding you have to be aware of that after some hours your dessert maybe will
have some water going out and this is not good..if you want to put more yoghurt or why not only yoghurt
make the bases and put the yoghurt and the marmelade or fruits the time you serve it!!

you can add some nuttela on the top and forget about the fruits..but we all know how crazy is nuttela with banana

you can put some chocolate chips between the oat base and the cream and then some orange skin
